The Journey so far...

Alongside Teaching I have took part and organised various events, these are some of them.

In 2006 I took part in the London Panorama which is linked in with Notting Hill Carnival.
Panorama is one of the biggest steel pan competitions around, a tradition of Trinidad and Tobago. When it first came to London in 1978 a British band won. It has been held every year the same bank holiday weekend in August, the night before Notting Hill Carnival, players from all over the world come to this event to compete. I played for Stardust Steel Orchestra and we came second!

Earlier this year I took part in recording a World Cup song for Galaxy Radio which got released and put up for download.

In July, I organised a showcase in Whitley Bay towncentre consisting of all of the schools in North Tyneside that had musical activities funded by Find Your Talent - a few of my bands were included.

In October I organised a big concert to raise money for Help for Heroes, a charity that I am very supportive of. The event took place on the 23rd October at North Shields Rugby Club and I raised a total of £1,089.00. All going towards a personal recovery centre for the wounded soldiers.

Another fundraiser for Help for Heroes on 1st October 2011 - The Musical Mile Parade. This was a sponsored parade along Whitley Bay seafront. Each participant collected sponsors to raise money. All of the children came from schools in North Tyneside, including Appletree Gardens, Langley First School, Valley Gardens and Southridge all from Whitley Bay.

On Saturday 29th October 2011 I held another fundraiser concert for Help for Heroes which raised a total of £1807 + £1150 from the parade + donations from very kind people taking a grand total to £2980!
